My kids are absolute water babies, reared on the north shore of Hawaii - it has been a dream of mine for a while to get a crazy family shot of us together, in the barrel of a wave. This was taken at waimea bay shorebreak, around the corner from where we live. I snapped this by having the smaller of my two boys, Maika (6) in front of me, and Joshua (10) on my back. With one hand I steered the bodyboard into the tube, and the other held the camera and hoped for the best. The GoPro wide angle took care of the rest:) Definitely my favorite family photo forever! We got some small lickings from the wave but my kids came up laughing, as usual.
